Canvassing software runs the loop behind a door-to-door program: pick the voters, cut them into routes, put each route on a canvasser's phone and bring every result back to whoever decides where the team goes next. Without it, that loop runs on printed walk lists and a spreadsheet typed up after the shift.
Political canvassing software adds what sales tools leave out: the voter file, party and turnout filters, and precincts and districts as units of work. doornoc is a canvassing platform for that political work. It is narrower than campaign management software, which adds fundraising and compliance, and it is not built for solar or roofing sales crews.
In doornoc the voter data, the turf, the app and the reports are one system, so the record saved at the door is the record the manager reports on.
Voter files for Oklahoma, Arkansas, Florida, North Carolina, Ohio and Pennsylvania are already loaded. Filter by party, election history, age or district and build turf from the result.
Draw a shape on the map, run Auto Turf, upload a list or import a MailVotes list. Auto Turf balances routes by estimated walk time, never overlaps them and prefers main roads, rail lines and rivers as edges.
The canvassing app shows each canvasser the route, who lives at each door and one-tap outcomes. Open the route once with signal and it keeps working in dead zones.
The Routes page marks each route Walking, Assigned or Ready and shows how many canvassers are live on it. Observe live opens a route being walked and shows each canvasser's position and knock count.
Six roles, from owner to volunteer, decide who manages routes, the team and campaign settings, and who only knocks. Only the owner can delete a campaign.
Each plan is a monthly price with a credit allowance. Credits pay for routes and voter research, and recording a knock costs nothing. See the current plans.

In the six built-in states the file is ready; elsewhere, bring your own voter file as CSV or JSON, up to 2,000,000 rows. Filter by party, by "voted in at least N of the last M" elections, by age or district, and by census traits in the built-in states.
Draw a polygon route and doornoc pulls in the voters whose mapped address falls inside the shape, up to 10,000 per search. Or let Auto Turf suggest a route count, about one route per 1,500 voters, and cut the area into routes that each list doors, estimated hours, a suggested canvasser count and an easy, moderate or hard rating.
Invitations go out by email, and a route assigned in the picker appears in that person's app. Managers can invite canvassers and volunteers; adding managers, admins or consultants takes an owner, admin or consultant.
The door knocking app records each door as Answered, Not Home, Lit drop or No Solicit. An answered door also takes Supporter, Non-Supporter or Undecided, plus optional yard-sign, issue and follow-up details. Without signal, knocks wait on the phone and sync when it reconnects.
Open a Walking route with Observe live to catch a stalled crew while there is daylight left. Admins who switch on effectiveness tracking also get flags for knocks saved over 300 yards from the door or after under 5 seconds there, the default thresholds.
Reports chart knocks by day or week, answer rate, results, yard signs, issues, hour of day and a canvasser leaderboard, and export as CSV or PDF. A route too big for its crew can be split with Auto Turf.

Free to start and fine for a candidate knocking a few hundred doors alone. The cost comes later: sheets get printed, handed out, collected and retyped, and nobody knows which doors are done until the clipboards return.
NGP VAN is the established platform on the Democratic side, and i360, with its i360 Walk app, fills that role for Republicans. A route costs 50 credits plus 5 per voter, and 200 more when drawn on the map. Auto Turf costs 50 per route plus 5 per voter, matching an uploaded list costs 500, and Voter Intelligence research costs 1 per voter. Recording knocks, searching voters and creating campaigns are free.
There is no free plan or trial. Top-ups start at 1,000 credits for $10. A cancelled plan runs to the end of the paid period; after that, campaigns, routes and knocks are kept for 90 days and then deleted. No download is needed. doornoc runs in the phone's browser on iPhone and Android and can be added to the home screen like an app. There is no App Store or Google Play listing to find.
Knocking continues. A route opened once with signal stays on the phone, the app reloads offline, and knocks wait in a queue that syncs about two seconds after the phone reconnects. A banner says the phone is offline and, once it reconnects, counts any knocks still waiting to sync.
Not live. Data moves by file. A list upload takes CSV, JSON or Excel, a voter file takes CSV or JSON, and past door outcomes import from a spreadsheet matched by voter ID or address. Going out, the Knocks page exports the knock list as a CSV, and Reports exports a summary CSV or a PDF. There is no two-way sync with VAN, PDI or another CRM.
